Buell returns to the motorcycle market

When it comes to 2022 motorcycle releases, the Buell Hammerhead 1190 stands out. Returning to the market, this brand brings news.

Production of the new 2022 Hammerhead 1190 supermoto started on November 1st.

To acquire this model you need to make an online reservation called “Buellvana”, which the company will detail more on October 21st.

In the announcement, Buell tested some new engines and new models, including a more adventurous style.

The company has already offered a glimpse of some of these new models, including an ADV called the 1190 Super Touring.

In addition to the 1190HCR model, with an uphill racer having an 1190cc ET-V2 engine in a road bike package.

However, Buell's press release was sparse regarding further details about the new models.

We managed to uncover some information that sheds some light on the brand's rebirth, including what its new logo might be.

The new emblem is the latest in a series of trademark applications last year, which may include names for other potential new models.

So a new Blast would be a logical step in any Buell revival.

Buell announced earlier this year that it would expand to offer mid- and small-displacement models to its customers.

As such, Buell has also hinted at the name Baja for a future adventure bike based on the 1190HCR.

In addition, it registered four names that seem to be related: Mule, Muell, Mini Muell and Muellysses.

All four names are a play on the name Buell and the word mule, with Muellysses an obvious reference to the Buell Ulysses XB12XT adventure-tourer.

The name “Mule” suggests a utilitarian model, that is, simpler and for the city.

As such, these new models and a new logo offer a hint of what's to come from the reborn Buell Motorcycle Co in the coming years.
