Chevrolet Trax 2024 debuts with many advantages

First-time car buyers struggled as several affordable sedans fell by the wayside. However, it's not all bad news as Chevrolet has revealed the 2024 Trax with a fresh design.

Set to become the brand's entry-level model, following the demise of the Spark, Sonic and Cruze, the 2024 Trax starts at US $ 21,495 and will hit dealerships next spring. That's US $ 205 less than the current crossover, despite being a huge improvement.

Although the outgoing Trax was also affordable, that was the only thing worth having. The crossover screamed cheap and looked out of place anywhere other than a rented parking lot.

Fortunately, the old model will soon be a distant memory, as the 2024 Trax adopts a sportier, more sophisticated design that takes inspiration from the larger Blazer. The similarities are immediately apparent, as both models have a prominent grille flanked by high-mounted LED daytime running lights, which sit above the minimalist headlamps.

Further back, we can see the sculpted bodywork with flowing lines and curvilinear surfaces. They are joined by a sloping roof and a dynamic waistline that rises at an angle.

Other highlights include plastic bodywork, concealed exhaust and C-shaped taillights. The model also boasts an angled rear window and unique styling details in each of its five trims.

The base LS has 17-inch steel wheels, while the US$ 23,395 LT adopts a more sophisticated design with a glossy finish and 17-inch aluminum wheels.
