2023 BMW XM Label Red on the way with 740 hp
BMW XM Label Red 2023: BMW is working on a more powerful version of the XM called Label Red. The company gave us a preview of the hottest variant ahead of its launch in 2023, highlighting some key changes to the design and performance.
The Munich manufacturer has revealed that the Red Label will be essentially the same as the regular car, albeit with red accents around the grille, window line, shoulder line and inside a new set of alloy wheels. We haven't seen the rear of the car, but we hope it doesn't change too much either.
BMW says the new XM Label Red will launch in Fall 2023, the name itself hasn't been seen before on a BMW. It will also be a road-legal production car, though it is unknown if production numbers will be limited for this more powerful version.

The regular XM already comes with 644hp and 800Nm of torque, making it more powerful than a Lamborghini Huracan STO and a Porsche 911 Turbo S. 100 hp more than in the standard XM, so it produces 578 hp and 750 Nm of torque.
The engine, however, is coupled to a plug-in hybrid system, resulting in a total of 740 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque. Power will be sent through an eight-speed automatic transmission to all four wheels.
BMW hasn't released any performance stats, but the Label Red is sure to beat the XM's 0-62mph time of 4.3 seconds and top speed of 168mph. It's unknown if the Label Red will follow the design ethos established by the likes of the M4 CSL and M5 CS, which removes some weight while stiffening the chassis. With the extra focus on power, Label Red could lose some of the XM's 55-mile pure electric range offered by the 25.7 kWh battery.

Inside Label Red, we'll see more use of the 'Toronto Red' and 'Frozen Carbon Black' color scheme, though BMW hasn't hinted if any extra equipment will be available for the hotter XM.
