Mazda MX-5: Anniversary Edition

Mazda MX-5 released the anniversary edition commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Hurtan brand. See below for more information about this car!

Spanish coachbuilder Hurtan has been refurbishing cars since 1992 and is now celebrating its 30th anniversary with a sophisticated Mazda MX-5.

The Grand Albaycín, based on the Miata ND, has been available in soft top and RF models since last year.

But, this new special edition increases the exclusivity of this brand.

In all, only six Mazda MX-5s will be made, all of which will feature retro designs inspired by sports cars from the 1950s and 1960s.

Then, customers will be able to choose between three exterior colors (pig grey, cherry red and midnight blue) and two interior finishes.

The pictures show the sports roadster with the manually folding fabric roof and electrically operated hard top.

Hurtan intends to sell custom MX-5 convertibles with six manual gears and an automatic with the same number of gears.

And the news of this anniversary edition doesn't stop here!

In that way, this car looks like a British roadster from the 1960s.

If you look closely, you can see that the quad exhaust tips are overkill.

Moreover, considering that the Grand Albaycín retains the 1.5 and 2.0 liter naturally aspirated engines with 132 and 184 horsepower respectively.

While the exterior represents distinctive taste, there's no doubt that the cabin is far more luxurious than you'll find in the standard ND.

It makes one wonder if Mazda's ill-fated Amati premium brand ever intended to give the beloved Miata a high-end version.

So Hurtan isn't just modifying the Miatas, they also have the Author, serving as a fresh-faced Chrysler PT Cruiser.

Along with these, they also modified Route 44, a bulbous Fiat Ducato / Ram ProMaster with a retro look.
