Mercedes will introduce the 2023 EQE SUV in October

Mark your calendars, because Mercedes will be live streaming the incredible presentation of its fourth all-electric EQ model, the EQE SUV, on Sunday, October 16 this year.

Therefore it is an all-electric all-rounder, the new Mercedes EQE SUV will be presented at a video that alternates “between scenes of dream and reality”.

So expected to be very similar to the EQE sedan, this latest model will be a slightly smaller and more affordable counterpoint.

According to Mercedes, the vehicle offers "a highly versatile interior" that in reality has already been revealed.

Thus, almost identical to its sedan counterpart, it features a hyperscreen that spans the entire length of the dashboard and turbine-style vents at its ends.

It will also be offered in five selected color combinations. Finally, with a new finishing material, in turn, it will offer “the warmth of wood with the technical coldness of aluminum”, according to the automaker.

Although official photos of the exterior have not yet been shared by Mercedes, some spy cameras managed to catch him without any camouflage.

A fully enclosed “grid” and recessed headlights connected by an LED light bar connect its design to the rest of the EQE SUV range.

As effectively an inflated version of the EQE sedan, we'd expect the powertrain options to be very similar here.

So that should mean a 90 kWh battery and a rear-mounted motor that produces 288 hp (215 kW/292 PS).

A dual-engine version is also expected. With these two engines, the EQE 53 4MATIC+ produces up to 677 hp (505 kW/687 PS).

A 469 hp (350 kW/475 PS) option is also possible. Four-wheel steering will be a standard feature on the SUV model.

The SUV is expected to enter production later this year at Mercedes' plant in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
