Peugeot e-208 2023 has power increase
Peugeot has made some very important updates for the new Peugeot e-208 2023.
Thus, the best-selling small electric car was given an increase in power and a little more autonomy with the electric load.
The smallest EV in Peugeot's lineup doesn't look any different this time around, which is a positive because the 208 is easily the best looking supermini in the segment.
However, the spec sheet is significantly more interesting this time around, thanks to its e-308 sibling's recently updated 2023 car loan hardware.
A new, more powerful electric motor is at the heart of the update, bringing power from 134 hp (136 PS / 100 kW) to 154 hp (156 PS / 115 kW).
However, the torque output of 191 lb-ft (260 Nm) remains the same on the 2023 Peugeot e-208.
Peugeot has yet to reveal performance figures for the 2023 car.
However, the previous version could reach 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds, making it the fastest car in the range.
New battery is added on Peugeot e-208 2023
Joining the more powerful electric motor is a new, more efficient battery pack that grows fractionally from 50 to 51 kWh (48.1 kWh usable).
So it helps extend the e-208's electric driving range to 248 miles (400 km).
So that's a 38km improvement over last year's car, whose range had already been extended in late 2021 to 362km.

So when the e-208 first appeared in late 2019, it was only rated at 340km.
2023 brings other benefits introduced for 2022, including:
- Heat pump paired with a windshield moisture sensor that helps preserve charge when using climate control.
- Low rolling resistance tires and a revised gear ratio.
A 7.4 kW charger is standard, an 11 kW three-phase version is optional.
In addition, the rather fast charging capacity of 100 kW.
Thus, it allows the e-208 battery to be filled from 20 to 80% in 25 minutes using a public charger.
